Hi! I'm a recent graduate of University of Southern California (USC), majored in Neuroscience, B.S., and completed a Honors thesis for the program and also minored in dance. I have finished taking my MCAT exam and I am currently taking a gap year before applying to medical school next year.
Experience
During my undergraduate years, I was hired as a Supplemental Instructor for Calculus II. This program requires students to teach peers, hold weekly classes, and create worksheets for classes and midterm/final reviews. This job requires flexible teaching from holding one-on-one sessions to Midterm/final reviews which often take place in large lecture rooms for 100+ students. During this process, I have found myself quick to adapt to each student's needs and have gained an ability to quickly recognize learning pace and style that is appropriate. My writing professors have also taken note to my work and I have had the chance to do ample amount of peer editing while helping students hone in on original analytical skills. I have taken many rigorous classes at USC as required by my major and have excelled at many higher level courses. I believe my experiences in academia will help me, help you. In addition to academics, I have more than 15 years of experience in piano performance. I have completed all levels of the Certificate of Merit Program and have been invited to perform at Honors Branch Recitals and California Conventions. My own piano instructor's training is from Saint Petersburg Conservatory School of Music, which is one of the world's oldest and finest music education.
